ACG CEO Forum Dinner

The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) will be hosting a Roundtable Dinner on Thursday, February 6th from 5:30-8:30pm, at Ristorante da Benito in Union Township, NJ. SBS Group will be sponsoring the event and offering our first time guests complimentary attendance. You can register with Tiffany Thrasher at tthrasher@sbsgroupusa.com.

Leading the discussion on Ethical Dilemmas of the CFO will be Michael Corridon, the Chief Financial Office of Strato Inc, a supplier of components to privately-held railroad companies. Michael will share the ethical challenges he faces a CFO.

Issues can be across-the-board, including revenue recognition, an ill-logical attempt to make quarterly numbers or fill in the holes, being asked to sign documents, whether bank certificates, rep letters, covenants, Sarbanes-Oxley documents, or attempted cover-ups of safety, health and regulatory violations.

Michael’s background includes 15 years as finance executive as well as 12 years as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Business School. Most recently, Mike was named CFO of the Year 2013 by NJBIZ. Mike has been CFO of Strato for the past eight years with responsibilities to directly manage Treasury, Taxation, General Accounting and Manufacturing and is a member of the company’s Executive Team responsible for overall growth strategy including new product development and acquisition opportunities.

On February 27th, 2014, Judy Spires will headline the ACG CEO dinner. Judy Spires is President and CEO of AG Supermarket Holdings, a portfolio of gourmet and contemporary markets operating in the New York and Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas.
